Can you have it all?

It is quite unusual to meet a person who tells you in confidence that you can have “it” all. Most a times, the norm is, being surrounded by people with the “win a few, loose a few” mentality. This can be as a result of their past experiences. It is an unfortunate reality that people believe it’s ok to be depressed every now and then just because they battle with this challenge of depression themselves.

Someone might wonder, “what has depression got to do with having it all?”, I tell you, success comes from within and so does peace, love, hope, joy and all the good things of life. The difference between a champion and that one who is not is the state of their spirits. No one will ever be able to achieve much if he is downtrodden. Take a child for example, he is the best of him when his spirit it bright and not gloomy. However, if he ever gets sad or upset, his productivity lessens drastically. This also applies to every grown up and teenagers alike.

God is amazing; he has given us his word to live by. The bible says in Luke 6:45,“The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produce evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks”

Our productivity is based on our words and our actions. Many have ruined their relationships because the never maintained a cheerful spirit, they harboured bitterness, strife, regrets, and so on. Thus produced it in their words and actions, thereby ruining the good things God had going for them.

We are advised in the bible to “carefully guard your thoughts because they are the source of true life.” (Proverbs 4:23 CEVUS06). If there weren’t risks involved in letting just anything affect our spirit, we won’t have been told to “carefully” guard it. The secret to having it all is to avoid things from polluting our fountain of possibilities, which is our spirit.

You can have it all, but first you ought to mount guard over your heart. Stop the leaches of discouragements, regrets, pain and discomfort from sucking the life out of you. Come on! BE HAPPY ALWAYS, LET NOTHING DROWN YOU IN MISERY AND RULE YOUR WORLD FROM WITHIN.!!!
